Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) position requiring BLS and PALS certifications with rotating night and day shifts at an academic medical center.

Details

  • Work setting is a Pediatric ICU (PICU) within an academic medical center
  • Rotating night and day shifts available (3x12-hour shifts); nights run 19:00–07:00, days run 07:00–19:00
  • 13-week contract
  • 3 weekends required per every six-week schedule
  • Floating to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics may be required based on staffing needs
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Pediatric ICU nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Driver's license and Social Security card copies required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract; time off cannot be approved during the first 2 weeks of the contract
  • July 4th time off cannot be approved
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have at least 12 months pass before returning as a traveler
