Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting, working 4x10-hour variable day shifts.

Details

  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) setting, with some opportunity to work in acute care departments
  • No outpatient caseload involved
  • 4x10-hour variable day shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Full-time, 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active CO OT license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience required, preferably in a clinic setting
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required — must not expire prior to start date
  • Epic EMR experience
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
  • English proficiency (speak, read, write) required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient evaluation, goal-setting, treatment planning, and delivery of skilled OT interventions across areas such as independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities, assistive equipment, and splinting/positioning
  • Delegates and supervises OT students, assistants, and technicians within scope of authority
  • Reassesses patient progress and modifies treatment plans and goals as appropriate
  • Master's degree in OT preferred
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and ACLS (AHA) certifications are preferred
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility in this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
