Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pulmonary/Med-Surg travel position in Iowa, requiring at least 24 months of Med-Surg experience and charge nurse experience.
Details
- 23-bed Pulmonary/Med-Surg unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes pulmonary and general medical-surgical cases
- Heparin drip management required
- May care for COVID-positive patients
- Traveler is required to float across multiple campuses
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required
- Minimum 24 months of Med-Surg experience required
- Pulmonary patient care experience required
- Charge nurse experience required
- Experience with pulmonary/ventilated patients on BiPAP and trach care highly preferred
- Level I trauma experience highly preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided the 2+ year Med-Surg experience requirement is met
- Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
- Travelers are required to work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
- Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday windows
