Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position on a Surgical unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring strong ortho/trauma surgical skills and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Work setting is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex, high-volume trauma cases
• Assignment is on the 5B Surgical unit with a focus on ortho-surgical patients
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg or ortho-surgical specialty in a comparable-size setting
• Strong ortho/trauma surgical skills required
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital environment required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced trauma situations
• No RTO (time off requests) will be accepted for this assignment
