Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Neuro Stepdown) position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring neuro stepdown experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Position is located on a 7A Neurology Progressive Care (Stepdown) Unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is not available
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
Requirements
- Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for consideration
- Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required
- Strong med/surg candidates with NIHSS, ACLS, and stepdown experience may also be considered
- Epic EMR experience required
- Background in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required

- This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center — candidates must have proven experience managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- NIHSS certification must be documented and available for consideration
