Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Neuro Stepdown) position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring neuro stepdown experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Position is located on a 7A Neurology Progressive Care (Stepdown) Unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling is not available
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required
• Strong med/surg candidates with NIHSS, ACLS, and stepdown experience may also be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Background in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required

• This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center — candidates must have proven experience managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• NIHSS certification must be documented and available for consideration
