Description

American Traveler is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an inpatient position in New Jersey, requiring a Master's degree, active NJ licensure, and at least one year of relevant clinical experience.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting with potential floating to a nearby sister hospital
• Patient population includes those requiring swallowing, communication, and cognitive assessments and treatment
• Uses Epic for charting
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, no weekends
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day

Requirements

• Active NJ Speech-Language Pathologist license required (license required if applicable)
• Master's degree or higher from an accredited speech and language program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute, subacute, or home care setting
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform baseline assessments of patient swallowing, communication, and cognitive abilities
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and physicians
• Provide instruction in safe swallowing techniques, communication strategies, and cognitive training as indicated
• Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and case management responsibilities
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Epic charting experience is utilized in this role
