Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 3x12 day shift position in Texas, requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting specializing in stroke, orthopedic surgery recovery, brain injuries, and debilitating conditions
Patient ratio of 1:7
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
Floating may be required to long-term acute care or other units within the hospital to manage MS patients
Epic EMR used; experience preferred

Requirements

Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI and NIHSS preferred
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Candidates currently residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Care for patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and other debilitating conditions in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment
Interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff who collaborate on individualized care plans
Family involvement and education are emphasized as part of the patient recovery process
Advanced rehabilitation technologies and evidence-based practices are utilized
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved for the duration of the contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
