Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 3x12 day shift position in Texas, requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

  • Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting specializing in stroke, orthopedic surgery recovery, brain injuries, and debilitating conditions
  • Patient ratio of 1:7
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
  • Floating may be required to long-term acute care or other units within the hospital to manage MS patients
  • Epic EMR used; experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI and NIHSS preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates currently residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

  • Care for patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and other debilitating conditions in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment
  • Interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff who collaborate on individualized care plans
  • Family involvement and education are emphasized as part of the patient recovery process
  • Advanced rehabilitation technologies and evidence-based practices are utilized
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved for the duration of the contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
  • Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
