Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a valid NM or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting with 32 beds
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00), with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating required within scope of practice
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Scrub color is open, but scrubs must be free of any hospital logos
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
