Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position requiring a minimum of 18 months of pediatric experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient hospital PICU setting
• Cares for pediatric patients up to 25 years of age, including epilepsy monitoring and specialized critical care
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• EKG interpretation and inotrope experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in the PICU or pediatric specialty prior to any travel experience
• Minimum 18 months of recent pediatric experience (travel experience acceptable)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both
• Travel assignments at this health system's locations are limited to 18 consecutive months, with a minimum 6-month break required before beginning another assignment at any of its locations
