Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Washington State, working a Tuesday–Friday day schedule.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in a general radiology department with 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portables, and 2 fluoroscopy rooms
• Procedures include portable X-rays, departmental X-rays, and ED X-rays
• Average daily volume ranges from approximately 20 to 50 studies
• Uses McKesson PACS and Epic EMR
• Equipment includes GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu systems
• Tuesday through Friday, 10-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with minimal call
• No floating required — assignment is limited to the X-Ray department

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist; experience in a larger, fast-paced hospital setting preferred
• Active ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active Washington State DOH imaging license required in hand at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• A personal radiation badge is required and is the responsibility of the traveler's employer; the facility does not provide one
• COVID vaccination required
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs portable X-rays, in-department X-rays, and ED X-rays as part of a team — this shift is not worked alone, as other X-ray techs are present
• In-house radiologist available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; off-site radiologist reads after hours
• Department has a lead tech on day and swing shifts; no overnight lead
• Orientation includes approximately 2 hours with the manager and 2 weeks of staff orientation
• Scrubs are provided
• Candidates who have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible for this position; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
