Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience and active ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications for a 13-week acute care radiology assignment in California.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department serving ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Patients are scheduled one per hour to allow time for inpatient and ER cases
• Radiology department staffs approximately 15 techs per 24-hour period
• 10-hour day shifts
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• Hospital provides scrubs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience required
• Active ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications required — pending certifications are not accepted
• California state mammography certification required
• Active BLS certification required
• COVID vaccination required
• Tomography (tomo) experience is strongly preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation length varies based on experience and whether the candidate has tomography training
• Candidates with tomography experience and/or training will be considered favorably
• Radiologist is on-site or available on-call depending on the work being performed
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• The following documentation must be submitted for consideration: digital CE units, tomo CE units, 2 years of mammography and tomo CE unit history, and prior mammography numbers for the last 2 years
