Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and RDMS certification for a 13-week acute care contract in Dodge City, KS.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in an ultrasound department with 3 scanner rooms
• Studies include general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts, and Dopplers (upper and lower extremity)
• Average of approximately 10 scans/studies per day
• No floating to other areas required
• EMR: Epic; PACS: Synapse
• Equipment includes two GE machines and one Philips machine
• 10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• On-call rotation required for weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience
• Required certifications: ARDMS (RDMS), BLS (AHA)
• Experience with general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular Dopplers required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license if applicable — pending licenses are not accepted
• A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Radiologist is on-site on Wednesdays only
• No IV starts required
• Scrubs in any professional colors; scrubs are not provided
• Candidates must be on-site for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are remote
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided prior to starting
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered
