Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Joint Commission accredited freestanding ED in Louisburg, NC, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and current ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) with 11 beds
• Part of a Joint Commission accredited Duke LifePoint hospital system
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• No on-call requirements
• 36 hours per week
• Float to Henderson ED may be required on a rare basis
• EHR: Paragon (experience preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale — AHA-issued certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ER or critical care nursing experience
• Proficiency with IV administration, critical care, and drips
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Orientation dates are scheduled on a bi-weekly basis throughout the year
