Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Stepdown position requiring at least 2 years of Peds Cardiac Stepdown experience and an Ohio RN license.

Details

• Pediatric Stepdown unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatric cardiac patients with both medical and surgical diagnoses such as cardiac defects, heart and lung transplants, and post-op care following CTICU stays
• Specialized procedures and equipment include tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation, high flow nasal cannula, inotropes, and post-op cath care
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Floating to other units may be required

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license (or Compact RN license with Ohio as primary state) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience required
• 2 supervisor or manager-level references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted for this RN position — candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
• Candidates who have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
• Floating to other units is a standard expectation and travelers should be prepared for reassignment based on unit needs
• No call/no-shows are taken very seriously and may result in disciplinary action or early termination
