Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel contract requiring 2+ years of U.S. hospital experience and active ARRT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in an interventional radiology / special procedures department
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call required
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or special procedures in a U.S. hospital
• Associate's Degree or equivalent, including completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
• Active ARRT certification required (no pending status)
• Current state radiologic technology license required, if applicable
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Current state Radiation Quality Standards compliance required
• U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Perform radiological functions for special procedures and other interventional examinations
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures and conduct organ or body scans to provide diagnostic support
• Administer and record isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol
• Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity
• BLS and all other certifications must be through the American Heart Association
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
