Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification for a 4x10 day shift contract in a hospital-based IR/Cath Lab setting.

Details

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
• Performs procedures including biopsies, CVC, PICC, tunneled HD catheters, port placements, fistulograms, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, ureteral stents, nephrostomy tubes, thrombectomies, thrombolysis, Y-90 treatments, and embolizations
• Cath Lab procedures include diagnostic and interventional cases, IABP, IVUS, and Impella
• Equipment includes Siemens C-Arm (single and bi-plane) and GE ultrasound
• Epic and Omnicell used in this setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Rotating call schedule with current staff — currently 7–9 call days per 6-week schedule, including one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every 5th weekend
• May be required to float to a different unit or facility at the manager's request

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist; 2+ years preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in an active interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP lab preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences; Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• Current ARRT certification required
• IEMA licensure required
• BLS and ACLS (within 6 months of hire) through AHA required
• IL license in hand required for consideration — no emergency or pending licensure (license required if applicable)
• Experience with Epic and Omnicell required
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a supervisor, manager, or charge RN within the last year

Additional Information

• Candidates located within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront and cannot be added after consideration
• Vaccination status must be provided
• 12-week contract assignment
