Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Nights Weekend Package position requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital Med/Surg unit
• Night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Works 5 out of every 6 weekends
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required within 6 months of hire
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care under limited supervision for Med/Surg patients
• Responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating total nursing care including medication and IV administration
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to communicate patient needs and ensure continuity of care
• Develops and modifies individualized care plans based on patients' physical, psychological, educational, and discharge needs
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
• Supports and enforces infection control policies and procedures
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
