Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Meal Break Team position requiring a CA RN license and 2+ years of strong telemetry experience.

Details

• Hospital-based position rotating across PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg units as a meal break and relief nurse
• Assigned to units each shift upon arrival to the staffing office, with the possibility of covering up to 3 units per shift
• Receives patient hand-offs for each patient covered during relief periods
• 8-hour day shift, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 32 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of strong telemetry (tele) experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Two clinical references required from the last two places of employment, covering the last year, from a leadership role (Nurse Manager, Director, or Charge Nurse)
• 7-year employment history required, with explanations for any gaps exceeding 30 days
• Current skills checklist required (valid within one year)

Additional Information

• RN will report to the staffing office at the start of each shift and be assigned to PCU, Telemetry, or Med-Surg units to relieve staff for meal and lunch breaks
• Orientation is provided for this role
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Any candidate holding a temporary or provisional license must disclose this upfront
