Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a Vascular Testing unit at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring RVT or RVS certification and at least 2 years of experience with both pediatric and adult patients.

Details

  • Position is based in the Vascular Testing unit of a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving approximately two-thirds of Maine
  • Primary work location is the main campus, with possible rotation to an affiliated Outpatient Imaging Center as needed
  • Must have experience with both pediatric and adult patient populations
  • 40 hours per week on a variable schedule; scheduling specifics are discussed during the manager interview
  • EMR: Cerner
  • May float between the main campus and the Outpatient Imaging Center as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • RVT or RVS certification required
  • Experience with both pediatric and adult patient populations required
  • Compact or ME license required if applicable
  • Full SSN required for consideration
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • 2 references within the past year required for consideration, including at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge (peer references not accepted)
  • Copies of all certifications required for consideration
  • Flu vaccination required for employment clearance; medical exemptions only, subject to facility approval
  • Candidate's permanent address must be 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility
  • Candidates who have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Supported by a Lead Tech and Physician on the unit
  • Manager interviews are conducted as part of the hiring process
  • All RTO requests require manager approval
  • Scrubs may be any solid, professional color; facility-provided scrubs are available if needed
  • Free parking is available on-site
