Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a part-time, 13-week travel contract at an ophthalmology and ENT specialty hospital in Boston, MA, requiring 1-2 years of radiology experience and an active MA state license.

- Specialty hospital setting focused on ophthalmology and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care in Boston, MA
- Radiology X-Ray department
- Part-time schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM (24 hours per week)
- 13-week contract
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Performs X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other radiographic examinations
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required; degree cannot be substituted with experience
- 1-2 years of radiology technology experience required
- Active MA Radiologic Technologist state license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
- ARRT-R (Registered Technologist in Radiography) preferred
- BLS certification required (AHA only; no other providers accepted)
- Proficiency with radiographic equipment, imaging protocols, and associated software
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and protocols
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing diagnostic imaging procedures, positioning patients, operating and adjusting imaging equipment, and ensuring image quality
- Follows radiation safety protocols and uses appropriate protective equipment, including lead aprons and shields
- Maintains accurate patient records and documentation using EMR systems
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate
- No validated parking is available at this Boston location; public transportation and paid public parking are available (approximately $17–$22/day)
- Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and lifting (35 lbs+)
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to or at the time of consideration
