Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuroscience ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU experience in a high-volume hospital setting.

Details

• Work setting is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center in a Neuroscience ICU/IMCU (8AB unit)
• Floating between the Neuro ICU and stepdown (IMCU) is expected
• Patient ratios: 1:2 in the ICU and 1:3–4 on the stepdown
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA state or compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or IMCU specialty
• Strong neuroscience nursing background required, clearly documented on profile
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced and complex patient situations

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to complex neurological and neurosurgical patients across both ICU and stepdown levels of care
• This facility is a high-volume, inner-city Level 1 trauma center managing diverse and severe trauma cases
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Work history must include EMR experience with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Certifications must be current and copies must be provided for consideration
