Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and Epic proficiency, with night shifts and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

  • Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department (ED)
  • Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Requires 2 weekend shifts (or 4 weekend days) per 6-week schedule
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Requirements

  • Active NC or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • Previous Charge RN experience and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
  • Documents required for consideration: 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years, driver's license copy, and copies of all certifications

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (two attempts allowed); candidates should prepare independently in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
  • Facility maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Flexible scheduling is expected
