Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week acute care rehab assignment in Santa Fe, NM.

Details

• Acute care inpatient setting within a Rehabilitation Services department
• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Works with patients experiencing illness, injury, developmental, or psychological impairments affecting Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

Requirements

• Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• New Mexico OT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience preferred
• Strong assessment/evaluation, decision-making, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and transfer/position patients
• SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Current, active certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assess and treat patients to improve independence in ADLs including grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and functional mobility
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care
• Administer occupational therapy modalities and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Reports to the Director/Manager of Rehabilitation Services
• Work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients, and hazardous chemicals
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
