Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week acute care rehab assignment in Santa Fe, NM.
Details
- Acute care inpatient setting within a Rehabilitation Services department
- Day shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Works with patients experiencing illness, injury, developmental, or psychological impairments affecting Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Requirements
- Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- New Mexico OT license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience preferred
- Strong assessment/evaluation, decision-making, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and transfer/position patients
- SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Current, active certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assess and treat patients to improve independence in ADLs including grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and functional mobility
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care
- Administer occupational therapy modalities and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Reports to the Director/Manager of Rehabilitation Services
- Work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients, and hazardous chemicals
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
