Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring scrub experience and a minimum of 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience.

Details

• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Work takes place across 3 cath labs and one hybrid OR
• Adult cardiac patient population undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Required procedures include: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion, Left and Right Heart Catheterization, PCI, PTCA, Rotablader Atherectomy, Temporary Pacemaker, and Ventricular Assist Device Insertion
• Preferred procedures include: OCT, PA Line Insertion, TAVI/TAVR, and Watchman
• Required equipment experience: Fluoroscopy and Siemens systems
• EMR: Epic (required) and McKesson
• Medication system: Pyxis
• On-call required — typically 6 evenings and one weekend per 6-week cycle, with a 30-minute callback response time required
• Floating between all facilities within Washington State is expected

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Experience in both Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings required
• Special Procedures experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with procedural responsibilities including: sterile field/scrub role, room circulator, EKG lead placement, access site prep, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Isolation Precautions knowledge required
• Rapid Response Team experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation period
• Refusal to float between facilities within Washington State may result in assignment termination
• Minimal RTO is expected; time off requests should be submitted prior to or at the time of submittal, as post-offer requests may be denied
