Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Las Cruces, NM, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and multiple certifications including TNCC and ENPC.

Details

• Level IV Trauma Center Emergency Department in a 199-bed hospital
• 20-bed ED unit serving all age groups (pediatric through geriatric)
• High-acuity ED with common diagnoses requiring critical care and trauma management
• Patient ratios: ESI 1, 2, & horizontal 3s – 4:1; ESI vertical 3s, 4, & 5 – 7:1
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: MedHost
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in New Mexico (NM state license or compact license) required
• Required certifications (AHA): ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required
• ED, Critical Care, or Trauma background preferred
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• All required certifications must be obtained prior to start date
• New Mexico state law requires all clinical staff to be fingerprinted before hire; travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while results are pending but must be supervised during that time
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; facility-branded clothing from other organizations and casual wear are not permitted
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
