Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU/ICU night shift position at a Joint Commission accredited hospital in Las Cruces, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU/CCU experience.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• ICU/CCU unit serving patients of all ages
• Located within a Level IV Trauma Center
• Weekend coverage required on an every-other-weekend basis
• On-call and float requirements apply on an as-needed basis
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, HWC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and CCU nursing experience
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• All clinical staff working in New Mexico must be fingerprinted prior to or at the start of the assignment; candidates may begin on a 14-day waiver while results are pending, with supervision required during that period
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• The facility is Joint Commission Accredited and recognized as both a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and a Certified Primary Stroke Center
