Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Los Alamos, NM, requiring a NM or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) of a 47-bed acute care hospital serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED/ER nursing experience required
• AHA certifications required — all required certifications must be in hand prior to consideration, as they are not available on site
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel placement

Additional Information

• New Mexico state law requires all clinical staff to be fingerprinted before hire; documentation that the background check is being processed must be provided prior to start
• Travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while fingerprint results are pending, but must be supervised during that period
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
