Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Los Alamos, NM, requiring a NM or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED) of a 47-bed acute care hospital serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ED/ER nursing experience required
- AHA certifications required — all required certifications must be in hand prior to consideration, as they are not available on site
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel placement
Additional Information
- New Mexico state law requires all clinical staff to be fingerprinted before hire; documentation that the background check is being processed must be provided prior to start
- Travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while fingerprint results are pending, but must be supervised during that period
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
