Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics position in Devils Lake, ND, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE.

• Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics unit in a hospital setting
• 3x12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact RN license required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued) required prior to start
• Current NRP certification (AAP/RQI Partners) required prior to start
• Current STABLE certification required prior to start

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, pain management, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team coordination
• Nurses are expected to identify early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond appropriately, including initiating emergency measures when necessary
• Patient and family education is a core component of this role, with a focus on optimizing understanding and supporting safe discharge
• Delegation of nursing tasks to appropriate team members within scope of practice is expected
