Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics position in Devils Lake, ND, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE.

Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics unit in a hospital setting
3x12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation
13-week contract

Requirements

Active ND or Compact RN license required prior to start
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics RN experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued) required prior to start
Current NRP certification (AAP/RQI Partners) required prior to start
Current STABLE certification required prior to start

Additional Information

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, pain management, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team coordination
Nurses are expected to identify early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond appropriately, including initiating emergency measures when necessary
Patient and family education is a core component of this role, with a focus on optimizing understanding and supporting safe discharge
Delegation of nursing tasks to appropriate team members within scope of practice is expected
