Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- High-acuity, fast-paced cardiovascular stand-alone unit within a pediatric hospital setting
- Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, surgical CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD/Berlin cases
- Age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 for ICU-status patients; 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A renewed yearly; Groups B–F renewed every 2 years)
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration

- Provide critical care nursing to a complex pediatric cardiovascular patient population
- Full DOB and full SSN are required for consideration
