Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience.
Details
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU in a high-acuity, fast-paced, cardiovascular stand-alone children's hospital unit
- Patient population includes neonatal through young adult patients with congenital heart disease/defects, surgical CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD/Berlin Heart cases; occasional adult CHD patients are seen
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1–1:2 for ICU status patients; 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS
- NIH Certification required (Group A updated yearly; Group B–F updated every 2 years)
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
Additional Information
- Care for pediatric and young adult patients with complex cardiovascular conditions including CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD/Berlin Heart support
- Local candidates may be considered, though a radius rule applies that may affect the travel pay rate; the radius distance varies by state
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
