Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with pediatric experience and Epic proficiency for a travel contract at a children's hospital in New Orleans, LA.

Details

  • Pediatric hospital setting in a dedicated X-Ray unit
  • Contract begins with weekend nights (Friday–Sunday, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM) for the first 7 weeks, then transitions to 3x12 day shifts (Monday–Wednesday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM) for the remainder of the contract
  • Floating and weekend availability required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience required
  • Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
  • ARRT-R and BLS certifications required
  • LA state license required if applicable (temporary LSRT accepted; typically issued within 3–5 business days once application, proof of ARRT, and money order are received by the state board)
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
  • Any gaps in work history exceeding 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

  • Delivers clinical radiology services in accordance with practice standards to support optimal department operations
  • Demonstrates proficiency with all X-Ray equipment, protocols, and procedures
  • Any scrub color is acceptable
  • Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; candidates within 75 miles should inquire about local rate eligibility
  • Former permanent employees of any facility within this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
  • Up to 5 days of RTO may be requested during the contract
