Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required, or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period based on unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required — traveler will have a home base but may float to other units or locations within the health system (Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera)
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the last year required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restriction
• Candidates who have previously worked an internal contracted position must wait 1 year after leaving before being eligible
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31; medical and religious exemptions accepted
• Holiday coverage will likely be required to meet unit scheduling needs
• Scrubs must be a solid, single color — no mixed colors, logos, or prints
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
• Free parking provided with a decal issued at orientation
• Timekeeping is done via Kronos using a badge swipe system
