Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring night shift availability, rotating weekends, and a minimum 100-mile radius from the facility.

Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
36-hour weekly work commitment
Rotating weekends and holidays required
Floating required
No on-call responsibilities
Patient ratio of 1:7

Requirements

Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
Current AHA certifications required: BLS and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area — local candidates are not accepted
Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Orientation begins on Sundays with online CBL (computer-based learning) modules
Contract nurses are expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside their standard patient care responsibilities
