Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level II NICU position requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience, NRP certification, and Epic proficiency, working nights on a 13-week contract in Washington State.

Details

Level II NICU setting caring for unstable newborns at 32 weeks gestation and greater
Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
Required clinical skills include: breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, procedural sedation, RSI/rapid sequence intubation drugs, cooling/warming blankets, drains, feeding tubes, PICC/central lines, syringe pumps, GYN surgeries, couplet care, and transition nursery
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
Epic EMR experience required
Floating between all facilities within the state of Washington is required

Requirements

Active WA RN license or compact RN license (compact licenses honored)
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
Epic EMR proficiency required
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within Washington State — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before being eligible for a travel position
Former employees or travelers who previously worked at this facility cannot live within 50 miles of it upon returning
RTO requests must be submitted upfront; requests made after submission or offer may be denied
All RTO and scheduling requests must be addressed prior to or at the time of submission
