Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week day shift contract in Columbus, OH.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital OR setting
  • 2 endovascular suites and open procedure ORs
  • Average of 20 patients per day with a 2:1 RT:RN ratio
  • Common procedures include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs
  • Equipment used includes fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, Philips Epiq 7G ultrasound, and Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX
  • Charting in Epic/CareConnect (PenVasc reporting software also in use)
  • 5x8 day shifts, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
  • Every other holiday required
  • Call expectation includes approximately 1/4 of total call rotation, including weekends

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of VIR experience required; candidates with 1+ year may be considered if they have Level I or Level II trauma experience
  • HS diploma or GED required; must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • ARRT (or equivalent) certification required
  • Ohio Department of Health Radiologic License required (pending status accepted; typically obtained within 24–48 hours)
  • BLS certification required
  • Proficiency with fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, and ultrasound equipment
  • Experience scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for minimally invasive image-guided vascular procedures
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Serves as assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in scrub, monitoring, and circulating roles
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound imaging equipment used in vascular procedures
  • Surgical scrubs provided
  • No more than 5 days of RTO will be approved for the duration of the contract
  • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
