Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience and RDMS (AB or OB-GYN) certification for a travel assignment in Bryan, NE.

Details

Acute care hospital setting with ultrasound units across four campuses: West Campus, East Campus, Radiology Plaza, and April Sampson Cancer Center (South Campus)
Each location has 2 ultrasound rooms with an average of approximately 10 cases per day depending on location
Rotating schedule of 36 hours/week: Week 1 - Sun 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, Mon 9:00 AM–7:30 PM, Wed 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Thu 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; Week 2 - Wed 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Thu 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Fri 9:00 AM–7:30 PM, Sat 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
On-call rotation is typically every 5th weekend and one weekday evening
Clinician will always have a colleague present during shifts
Floating required between all four campus locations
Philips ultrasound equipment used
Epic EMR used

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ultrasonographer in an acute care hospital setting
RDMS (AB) or (OB-GYN) certification required
Current BLS via AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network
License required if applicable
2 references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the position's specialty within the last 3 years
Peds/neonatal experience preferred
Certification in neonatal neurosonography or pediatric sonography preferred

Additional Information

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures under physician supervision across the full patient age continuum
Orientation is provided with a department coordinator
Light blue scrubs required
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
