Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult ICU night shift position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Details

• 30-bed Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU) in an inpatient hospital setting
• Patient population includes sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psych disorders
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Care of mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices required
• Equipment used includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV1000
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend commitment (Friday and Saturday nights)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other inpatient areas required when the home unit is at low census
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Experience with comprehensive patient assessment and care of septic patients required
• Experience caring for mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring required
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• EKG test must be completed and passed as part of the consideration process (2 attempts allowed; if failed, eligible to reapply in 30 days)

Additional Information

• CRRT experience is preferred
• Orientation includes online modules completed on the first day, Epic training if needed, and one day of on-unit orientation
• Navy scrubs required; hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not permitted
• Candidates living within a 50-mile radius of the facility are eligible but may be considered at a reduced rate
