Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Austin, TX, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience, ACLS, and BLS for a 13-week contract.
Details
- Located in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a hospital setting in Austin, TX
- 8-bed unit staffed by 4 RNs and 3 CV techs per day shift
- Cardiovascular invasive procedures performed, including cardiac catheterizations, PCI, peripheral procedures, pacemaker implants, and defibrillator implants
- EMR system: Meditech
- Monday–Friday day shift, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- On-call required from 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM on weekdays
- On-call required 48 hours on weekends
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required
- RCIS certification preferred
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two references)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates will be considered
- A team-player attitude is a strong fit for this unit
