Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in a blended ICU/CVICU unit at a 171-bed, Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center
• 16-bed ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A-fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
• Uses Baxter infusion pumps and Medhost EHR
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating may be required to the Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis
• 8-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Medhost EHR experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Travelers are allowed one call-out per contract; a second call-out requires documentation and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
• 48-hour block scheduling may be considered but is not guaranteed
• Lake Havasu City offers outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking, and is within driving distance of Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, and San Diego
