Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract requiring at least 3 years of main hospital experience, on-call availability, and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room (OR) setting
• 1:1 staffing ratio in the intraoperative environment
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8s)
• 40 hours per week
• On-call required, including nights, weekends, and holidays; typically 1 night per week
• 2–3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating to like or lesser acuities may be required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of main hospital OR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (no local candidates)
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for immediately assessing each patient upon admission to the OR, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning needs
• Develops and maintains individualized intraoperative nursing care plans based on ongoing patient assessment
• Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the hiring manager
