Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, requiring ICU and extensive cardiac experience across multiple units on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Float Pool position covering Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU experience required; ability to float down to Medical Surgical as needed
• Extensive cardiac experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state laws
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care including patient and family instruction
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Applies clinical expertise and critical thinking to support patient safety, patient experience, and longitudinal care across units
