Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Stepdown/CV position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

Step-down unit in a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center hospital setting
Serves as a Med/Surg overflow unit with a cardiovascular patient focus
Team nursing ratios of 1:6-7
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
36- or 48-hour workweek options available; schedule may be discussed during interview
On-call required as needed
Weekend shifts required as needed
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles is possible, though cross-campus floating is rare

Requirements

Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
Cardiovascular nursing experience required
Level I Trauma Center experience required
Large hospital experience required
At least one completed travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible
ADN or higher required for this position
Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, as RTO requests will not be considered after an offer has been made
If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
