Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Joplin, MO, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Located in a Level 2 Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI Center hospital in southwestern Missouri
• OR Complex unit with 11 operating rooms
• Surgical patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend and call hours as required by the facility
• Floating as required by the facility
• Stryker equipment used in the OR
• Epic EMR in use

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri or compact license qualifying for Missouri licensure
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to deliver perioperative patient care, maintaining professional accountability, evaluating care provided by other direct caregivers, and coordinating care across departments
• Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers working between November 1 and April 1; exemptions must be approved by the facility
• Up to 5 days of RTO is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after completion, a 1-year separation or reassignment outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning
