Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position in Vail, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of outpatient experience and an active AZ license prior to start.

Details

  • Outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active AZ PT license required prior to start date; license must be in good standing (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
  • Current BLS certification (if applicable)

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients via physician referral or direct access across a variety of outpatient diagnoses
  • Experience with or willingness to learn occupational health services, including work conditioning, WorkSTEPS or APET post-offer testing, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Work Hardening Evaluations, and ergonomic or job analysis
  • Responsible for supervising PT assistants and PT technicians in accordance with the established plan of care
  • Role includes maintaining timely communication with referring physicians, rehab nurses, case managers, and insurance representatives
  • Administrative duties may include answering phones, scheduling patient visits, and processing referrals as needed
  • Expected to understand and apply billing codes for various payer types
  • Candidates should be comfortable supporting business development efforts and building referral relationships when patient load allows
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • All time-off and scheduling requests should be submitted at the time of initial consideration
  • Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
  • A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
