Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Cardiac position requiring at least 2 years of cardiac telemetry or step-down experience and an active NC or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital stepdown cardiac unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Schedule includes 6 weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday), 4 Mondays, and 4 Fridays
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating to PCU, Stepdown, and IMCU units is required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Blocked scheduling is not available for this position
• Contract length is approximately 10 weeks
• Orientations are held bi-weekly

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• One supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted, though at a different pay rate
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Flu vaccine is mandatory from October 31 through March 31 with no exemptions accepted
