Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position at a hospital-based skilled nursing facility in Honoka'a, Hawaii, requiring a valid HI RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) unit located on the grounds of a hospital campus
• 8-hour shifts with varied scheduling across days (0730–1530), evenings (1500–2330), and nights (2300–0730)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• OT rotation may be required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Long-term care nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, treatments, medication administration, physician/NP notifications, admissions and discharges, ADL assistance, gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac care, and CPAP care
• Candidates must arrive at the facility the Friday prior to their Monday start date to complete employee health and HR clearance — no exceptions
• All compliance documents must be submitted no later than one week before the start date
• Active HI RN license must be in hand at the time of the employee health and HR clearance appointment
