Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Kerrville, TX, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a Texas or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit (2W) of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement: must be available for 4 of 8 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; night shift weekends fall on Friday and Saturday nights
• Floating required to unit 3W and other units as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• PALS, ACLS, and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products, prior to and upon arrival
• Located in Kerrville, TX — Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
