Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring active MA licensure, telemetry experience, and a strong willingness to float across multiple units.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Float Pool setting
• Float to any Med/Surg unit required, with potential unit changes as frequently as every 4 hours
• Telemetry monitoring is part of the patient care scope
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Block scheduling is not available for this assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand prior to consideration — license will not be pended
• Current certifications required and must be in hand: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• A current Med/Surg skills checklist (within the past year) is required for consideration
• One supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment is required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront — scheduling requests will not be approved at or after the time of offer, and late requests may result in a rescinded offer
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
• Strong willingness to float across all Med/Surg units is essential for this role
