Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active IL RN license and proficiency with high-acuity drips and specialized procedures.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population requires management of chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Vasoactive and titrated drip management including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Facility locations include trauma centers ranging from Level 1 to Level 4
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; IA RN license also required (proof of application accepted if not yet active)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior experience with high-acuity drip titration and specialized procedures (chest tubes, trachs, central lines, etc.) required
• Driver's License required
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required
• Candidates must not have been employed by UnityPoint within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify at the standard travel pay rate
• At least one completed travel contract is preferred
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and the Christmas/New Year's window (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
